A Dallas police motorcycle officer is okay after getting hit by a car speeding away from a traffic stop Tuesday.
Police are looking for the driver and passenger of the black two-door Dodge Challenger.
Dallas Police say the officer pulled the driver over in Pleasant Grove on Jim Miller Road near Military Parkway. Suddenly, the driver hit the gas and sped off, northbound on Jim Miller, hitting the officer in the getaway.
The unidentified officer was taken to a local hospital to get checked out and was eventually sent home.
Police are circulating photos of the car, and of the driver and a passenger, hoping for tips leading to an arrest. One photo shows a baseball cap on the dashboard and detectives hope that might ring a bell for someone.
The car had a license plate that shows in the photo but it's been blurred out because the license plate turned out to be stolen.
