The group representing pilots for Dallas-based Southwest Airlines says its members are dealing with fatigue because of problems with scheduling at the airline, and members say it could be a safety concern.
The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association says the problems started last summer and have increased since then.
The Association says the number of pilots asking to be relieved from a flight due to fatigue was up 330% in March compared to the same month prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association made the complaints in a letter to corporate executives at Southwest that was also publicly released.
