$10-million plan to renovate Dallas Reverchon Park baseball field collapses

A $10-million plan to renovate the historic baseball field at Dallas Reverchon Park has collapsed and the city is blaming the Coronavirus outbreak.

Dallas Park & Rec Director John Jenkins put out a memo yesterday says it's due to "extreme disruptions in the professional sports and financial industries caused by the Covid-19 pendemic."

A private group was prepared to spend the $10-million on the project but did not sign the contract by the deadline on Wednesday.
