Today, board trustees voted unanimously to name Dr. Theresa Williams the sole finalist in the running for superintendent. She’s spent the past four years serving as Deputy Superintendent, and says she has a good idea of what the district needs to grow.
"There's big work ahead of us," Dr. Williams said during the meeting. "I am Day-One ready. Ready to step into this role with strong, consistent and focused leadership."
Plano’s current superintendent, Sara Bonser, announced last month that she’s retiring at the end of the school year to spend more time with family.
