A Plano man has been charged with murder after his wife was found dead at their home Wednesday, police said.
Plano police said detectives obtained an arrest warrant Thursday for 37-year-old Jake O’Brien Bigoni, on a charge of murder. Bigoni was previously arrested at the scene on suspicion of abuse of a corpse without authorization.
The victim was identified as his wife, Eliana Alexandra Bigoni, 34, of Plano.
Plano police say officers were called to a home in the 4700 block of Charles Place Wednesday morning for a welfare concern involving possible family violence. The caller said they had been unable to contact the woman.
Officers found Eliana Bigoni dead inside the residence.
The case remains under investigation by the Plano Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit. Additional charges could be filed.
