PLANO (1080 KRLD)- A Plano man is going to prison for decades for a drug conviction.
Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis says Dominic Rivera made a "...career-ending decision..." to try and sell meth and the jury convicted him. Last year, Rivera was a passenger in a car that got pulled over in Richardson.

Officers found a loaded pistol in his jacket which -- as a felon -- he was not permitted to have. Then they found about 100 doses of meth in his backpack.
After the jury convicted Rivera, the judge looked over his long criminal rap sheet -- including seven drug convictions -- and sentenced him to 40 years.
After the sentencing, Willis said "...Collin County will not tolerate career drug dealers."
