With summer just around the corner, the "Help Wanted" sign is out in Plano.
The Plano Parks & Recreation Department is looking to address a major staffing shortage for its summer programs, including camps, swimming lessons and extended hours at rec centers.
Plano Recreation Services Manager Susie Hergenrader told the KRLD Morning News it has been increasingly difficult to find young applicants for those positions, and she added the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has not helped this year.
Hergenrader discussed the types of work available this summer, along with the extra safety protocols that are in place
