Temperatures this morning are not as cool as it's been for the past several mornings, as readings are mainly into the 60s at this hour. There are some scattered clouds about the area as well, but no precipitation is on radar. Partly cloudy and very warm again today with afternoon highs warming into the upper 80s. Yesterday we hit 89°. Average high is 82°.
A cold front will edge into the area this evening dropping temperatures into the mid fifties to low 60s for tomorrow morning with some clouds sneaking into our northern counties. Some of these could arrive across DFW during the morning hours. Kickoff temperature for the Texas/OU game will be in the low 70s. Partly the mostly sunny skies will prevail during the day with highs 75° to 80°. ENE winds at 10 to 20 mph..
This cold front will lift back to the north on Sunday. I'm expecting plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 80s. There's a chance for some scattered showers and storms to the west of DFW late Sunday through Tuesday morning, but I think most of us stay dry here in north Texas. That's very unfortunate. We need some rain. It's now been 33 days without rain officially at DFW Airport. Afternoon highs on Columbus Day will reach the mid 80s. Mid to upper 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday under a partly cloudy sky. By Thursday, it looks like we'll get a decent cold front through here bringing a chance for scattered showers and storms back to the area. After the rain exits, it'll turn windy and cooler with clearing skies through the day. Afternoon highs will only be in the mid 70s.
