Police: Fort Worth shooting leaves 1 dead, 5 injured

Fort Worth (1080 KRLD)- Fort Worth bore witness to a potential gang-related shooting on Friday night that left one dead and five injured on Southwest Loop 820 according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

According to NBC DFW, Police were made aware of the shooting at 11:22 p.m. with individuals in two vehicles shooting at one another at the 2000 block of Southwest Loop 820 Freeway.


Among those wounded were two innocent bystanders, with one female wounded in an unrelated vehicle, and one male while in his home located on a nearby service road.

One victim was hospitalized and in critical condition, while the other five victims were not considered life threatening.

One of the wounded, who was identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office as 19-year-old Dominick Dijuan Primes of Watauga, later died at John Peter Smith Hospital.

As it stands, the motive(s) behind the shootings remains unknown but Police believe it to be gang related.

No suspects have been taken into custody thus far.
