North Richland Hills police are investigating a former Richland High School teacher over allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student.
The department announced the investigation Monday in a social media post. The former teacher has not been publicly identified, and no charges have been filed.
Birdville ISD confirmed it was notified of the investigation and said the former teacher also worked as an assistant coach. The district said the individual has resigned and no longer works for the district.
In a letter to parents, the district said it quickly reported the allegations to police but is limited in what information it can release.
North Richland Hills police said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
