Two Lewisville children who went missing Thursday night were located safely Friday in Oklahoma, police say. Their mother, who does not have legal custody, was arrested.
Officers arrested Albina Rudenko after someone noticed her car broken down in a parking lot and called police for a welfare check, Lewisville police said.
She lost her parental rights earlier this year and police said she took her kids when they got off the bus Thursday afternoon. Police were working with Child Protective Services to bring the kids back to Lewisville and reunite them with their father.
