A woman was shot and killed Thursday morning near the 3700 block of Interstate 20 in Fort Worth following an apparent road-rage incident, police said.
First responders attempted life-saving measures when they arrived, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect fled, and detectives are conducting a detailed investigation.
Eastbound I-20 remains closed near Trail Lake Drive.
Officer Cynthia Wood said there is no estimated reopening time. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes and check Fort Worth police social media for updates.
