The power is back on for most of the Forest Hill customers left in the dark after Tuesday's possible lightning strike that took down nearly a dozen power poles.
Mayor Stephanie Boardingham says about 34,000 people were without power.
The poles were knocked down just past 5 p.m. along a stretch of Wichita Street near I-20. At least ten were snapped off, taking their power lines down with them.
No injuries were reported.
