Power use in Texas hit a record demand yesterday as the dangerous heat continues, but don't count on that record lasting for long.
Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) officials say they expect peak demand to set another record later today. But they add that the Texas electric grid is holding and there is still enough power to meet demand.
ERCOT's Weather Watch continues, meaning the grid will continue to be monitored closely as demand climbs.
