Princeton residents in Collin County were left heartbroken this weekend after learning of the passing of Officer Nancy Dominguez, who was in a traffic accident on Saturday night.
On Saturday, at approximately 5:20 p.m., officer Dominguez was involved in an off-duty motor vehicle accident at East Lucas Road and Lakeview Drive.
Dominguez was transported to Medical City McKinney, where she succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the accident.
Beginning her career with the Princeton Police Department in July 2022, she has received numerous accolades, including 2022 & 2023 Rookie of the Year, the 2023 Citizen Commendation Award, and multiple Letters of Commendations from the Department, including the 2023 Life-Saving Award, and multiple RISE Awards.
“As we mourn the loss of officer Dominguez, please keep her family, fellow officers and coworkers, and friends in your thoughts and prayers. May Officer Dominguez Rest in Peace," the Princeton Police Department said in a statement.
