UPDATE 3:00 PM: Unseasonably cold temperatures have filtered into north Texas! A killing frost is on the way over the next few nights! I don't think we'll break the record low tonight, but we may break the record low Wednesday morning.

The record low for Tuesday is 29°.
The record low for Wednesday is 31°.
The average low this time of the year is 52°. The average first freeze is November 22nd.
The earliest freeze (31°) was on October 22nd, 1898.

I hope everyone had a great weekend while enjoying the rain. Unfortunately, some of you saw some flooding rain. DFW Airport measured about 2/3 of an inch of rain since midnight. This brings our total for the month to over 9.50". Our rainfall deficit for the year is down to about 6.00".

We woke up to temperatures in the mid to upper 30s with wind chills near 30°s. This unseasonable weather pattern will continue through Thursday, with a killing frost in the forecast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

South winds return on Thursday as temperatures warm into the low 60s. We'll reach the low 70s on Friday, and mid to upper 70s this weekend with plenty of sunshine. As of now, I don't see any rain in the forecast through at least Sunday.
