Police in Red Oak arrest a man wanted in connection with two armed robbery cases this week - and say he may face criminal charges in several other cases.

Officers responded to a 911 call from a CVS store in Red Oak on Tuesday. The cashier told them a man came into the store and acted like he had a gun, then stole money from the cash register.

Police used the network of Flock cameras and license plate readers in Red Oak to identify the suspect's vehicle and were able to link that car to the owner's address in Dallas County.

Officers got a second call about a robbery at a gas station in Red Oak, and the description of the suspect and the vehicle matched the description from the earlier robbery at the CVS.

Minutes later, a Red Oak police officer found the vehicle on Parkerville Road within the Lancaster city limits. He also noticed someone matching the description of the suspect in the two robberies. Police said that person was 56-year-old Brian Keith McKinzie of Dallas. Police said he got out of his car, briefly struggled with an officer, and then ran off. The pursuit ended when officers used a TASER on McKinzie.

McKinzie was booked into the jail in Ellis County on two charges of armed robbery, one charge of evading arrest, and one warrant for robbery out of Dallas County. Police said he is also a suspect in robberies in Dallas and Cedar Hill. They expect additional charges to be filed.
