It's 47 years for a Collin County man with a long criminal reputation from burglaries to drug dealing.
Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced Tuesday that 44-year-old Mike Stoker was convicted of possession with intent to deliver meth. After jurors found him guilty, prosecutors told them about his long criminal history which includes 11 felonies for drug trafficking and gun crimes.
In addition to that, Stoker has also been in jail six times and was on parole when investigators said he went on another crime wave last year. He's been linked to multiple thefts in both Collin and Hunt counties.
They also have surveillance of Stoker using a stolen truck to yank an ATM from a convenience store.
It was Judge Benjamin Smith who sentenced him with the 47 year prison term.
DA Willis said through an official statement: "Tough Justice, Not a Free Pass, for Felons Who Reoffend in Collin County. For decades, Mike Stoker has stolen, sold poison, and shattered lives across Collin, Dallas, Grayson, and Hunt Counties. Prison didn't stop him before, but now, behind bars, he can't do it again. Let this be a reminder: Collin County delivers tough justice to career criminals who prey on our communities."
