Report: Addison-based company spread claim of voter fraud after 2020 election

An Addison-based company is the target of a report that it helped spread the claim that there was massive voter fraud in several states in last year's presidential election.

The Washington Post says the Allied Security Operations Group, which operates out of the Addison Airport, helped convince President Trump that the election was stolen by pushing the false claims.

For instance, Post reporter Emma Brown says Allied Security has suggested that all the voting machine software in the country is from the Venezuelan company Smartmatic.

"Smartmatic was started by Venezuelans, but it is not true according to experts and the company themselves that any other company uses Smartmatic software" said Brown.

Brown says the Post challenged many of Allied Security Operations Group's claims, but the company could not back them up.

The company did not respond to KRLD's request for comment.
