A Star-Telegram report suggests that at least three North Texas constables -- either former or current -- are part of a group critics call a "...conspiracy-bent militia."
The group called "Oath Keepers" is said to be the brain-child of a former staffer for retired Texas Congressman Ron Paul.
The Star-Telegram reports that e-mails show connections to "Oath Keepers" on the part of Hood County Constables Chad Jordan and John Shirley and former Tarrant County Constable Clint Burgess.
The e-mails came to light through a request under Texas open records laws.
