One Fort Worth restaurant in the area is doing what it can to help those who responded to the explosion.
Buffalo Bros. is located several blocks north of the Sandman Signature Hotel and, thus, was able to remain open Monday night.
Owner Jon Bonnell says as a token of his appreciation, he offered to pick up the tab for any first responder who showed up last night in need of a hot meal.
"When I saw how many fire, police (and) medical personnel were on the scene, you know those guys just had been working all day in some tough conditions," says Bonnell, "and then it started getting cold and windy."
In true Fort Worth fashion, many customers offered to lend a helping hand to the first responders.
"Customers kept offering to pick up tabs, and they were already free anyway," Bonnell says. "So we sent quite a few home with dinner and had a few while they were there. You could tell everybody was exhausted."
Bonnell says he was glad to help those who helped the people of downtown Fort Worth.
"You know, pizza and an order of wings is a small token of appreciation."
