First responders in Rhome had a close call while working a crash scene in the very heavy rain rolling through North Texas on Monday.
Police and firefighters were working at the site where a truck had rolled on its side on the Highway 287 exit Highway 114. A fire truck was positioned to protect the first responder.
Body cam footage records the moment when a rock-hauler skidded on the wet pavement and jackknifed into the median, barely missing the fire truck and the people on the scene.
A message from Rhome police says this video is a good reminder to please slow down while driving on wet streets.
