The city of Richardson says its computer network has been fully restored after being targeted last month by a cyberattack. Teams from the city's information technology department have been working for nearly three weeks to scan backup files to rebuild the system.
"I cannot emphasize enough how well our team was prepared for, and able to respond to, this incident," City Manager Don Magner said.
The city's internal controls limited the damage from the attack on Sept. 25. The city's information technology department has also implemented additional security measures.
