A 17-year-old Wylie boy has died after being shot Sunday in Garland, and now police have the teen shooter in custody.
Garland Police say Tonyvan Mang died Tuesday from injuries suffered in the shooting, according to medical staff. A 20-year-old victim also was wounded and remained hospitalized in stable condition.
Police arrested 17-year-old Reng Thlang Padom at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Richardson. He was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Padom is being held in the Garland Detention Center on bonds totaling $1.5 million.
