Robbery outside Irving bank captured on video, employee robbed and stripped at gunpoint

IRVING (1080 KRLD)- An armored truck driver is robbed in broad daylight, and it's caught on video.

At around 9:45 Friday morning, a Brinks security guard was robbed at gunpoint outside the Chase bank at Belt Line and Rochelle roads in Irving.

"We believe that the suspect followed this individual from a different location," says Delaney Brey, Irving Police spokeswoman.

The video shows the robber pulling the man's pants off of him so that he could not retaliate.

"It does look like he took a bag of money, but he did leave the pants at the scene," says Brey.

The incident caught the driver off-guard.

"This is a safe route for him," Brey says. "This is not something that he suspected to happen to him in Irving. That's why he was caught so off-guard."

The driver was able to emerge unharmed.

"He's doing good," says Brey. "He's a little shaken up."

The robber got away; he was seen driving a black late model Chevy Malibu with silver rims.
