A Rockwall firefighter has been named the strongest firefighter in the world.
If our homes were burning, most of us would want a strong firefighter to haul us out. And if you live in Rockwall, Andrew Burton is the man.
Burton recently dominated the Strongest Firefighter Competition at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend.
Named for celebrity Arnold Schwarzenegger, about 100 firefighters competed in several categories like picking up and carrying 200 to 250 pound fire hydrants, for example. There was also the sandbag carry, hauling deadweights of 220 to 300 pounds to simulate saving someone from a burning home.
And not only did Burton win the top honors he also got his picture taken with none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.
