A man who caused a disturbance on a Southwest Airlines flight two years ago is feeling the consequences for acting up.

This morning in a Dallas US Magistrate's court, 46-year-old Marcus Huff pleaded guilty to interfering with a flight crew. The incident happened in June of 2022 on a flight from Las Vegas to Houston. Things got so severe the flight had to divert and get on the ground fast in Dallas.

According to reports, Huff screamed obscenities at flight attendants, threw drinks in the glass at passengers and crew, and repeatedly got up when the 'fasten seatbelt' sign was on. He had to be restrained and buckled in with a special buckle that he couldn't undo.

Huff has already been banned from flying on Southwest for life. And he could go to prison for 20 years. He will be sentenced at a later date. He was also told he had to repay Southwest $16,000, the cost of diverting the flight.

But this may be telling, the US Magistrate judge revoked the bond and jailed Huff until he is sentenced. No date has been set.
