A man is robbing shoppers outside a Rowlett grocery store, and police need your help in finding him.
Both robberies happened last week outside the Walmart on Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett.
"Our victims are loading up their vehicle with their groceries," Rowlett Police Corporal Jaqueline Vergara said. "They get approached by the same suspect at gunpoint demanding for their wallet, and then they take off."
The two robberies happened within days of one another last week, one on Nov. 7, and the other on Nov. 9.
"These both occurred outside the parking lot of this grocery store," Cpl. Vergara said. "One in the morning (and) one in the afternoon."
In both cases, the robber is driving a stolen vehicle — first a black Hyundai Elantra, which has been recovered, and second a red Hyundai Sonata, which is still at large.
Surveillance cameras inside the store captured clear images of the suspect, as well as a woman.
"We don't believe she is associated to the offense, but she may be a witness," Vergara said.
If you have any information, contact Lead Det. J. Freeman #1069 at jfreeman@rowlett.com or 972-412-6250.
In the meantime, police urge you to use extra caution when shopping at that store, at least until the suspect is caught.
"We do advise people to be careful, be very vigilant of their surroundings (and) if they see any suspicious activity to call their local authorities," Vergara said. "And of course, we've increased our officer presence in that area."
