A 72-year-old Royse City woman was hospitalized Monday after a flock of geese attacked her while she was feeding ducks at a city park, knocking her to the ground and causing multiple pelvic fractures.
According to Royse City officials, the woman was treated by EMS at the scene and taken to a hospital for further care.
The city says the geese involved had been increasingly aggressive toward visitors, prompting new warnings advising residents to avoid feeding wildlife and to use caution around waterfowl.
Officials say they are reviewing safety measures at the park to prevent future incidents.
