A Sansom Park police officer remains in the hospital after being shot during a training accident over the weekend.
The training session was at Sellars Elementary School in Forest Hill. The officer was shot Saturday afternoon and was rushed to JPS hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Officials say no live ammunition was supposed to be used in the training so investigators cannot yet say how the officer was wounded with a live round.
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s office and Texas Rangers are investigating.
