Highland Park and UT alum Scottie Scheffler is atop the leaderboard at the Colonial along with seven others at four-under heading into Day 2 at Hogan's Alley.

This year's Masters champion and the World's No. 1 golfer ended up with four birdies for the first round.

Other North Texas fan favorites are farther back. Jordan Spieth is tied for 26th place, three off the pace and UNT grad Sebastian Munoz is tied for 43rd, four back.

And after first saying he'd play, Bryson DeChambeau has dropped out, citing his recent surgery to repair a broken bone in his wrist.
