The search continues for two suspects wanted in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Mesquite.
Police reports say the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Thursday in south Mesquite where officers spotted a stolen car and followed it.
Police approached the vehicle when the suspects in the stolen car met up with some unknown people in another car near a 7-Eleven store in the 2600 block of Faithon P Lucas Sr Boulevard. Police officials say there was a confrontation between police and the suspects and a shooting broke out.
Police confirm one suspect was hit and died at the scene, and three others have been taken into custody. A search continues for two people who fled.
No officers were hurt.
