GARLAND (1080 KRLD)- Services have started for the three teenagers gunned down in a Garland convenience store on Sunday.
Wednesday, on the day police announced the name of their suspected killer, friends and family of 14-year-old Xavier Gonzalez gathered at the Pilar Funeral Home in Garland where Xavier's body was laid out for a viewing. The funeral for Xavier will be Thursday as will services for 16-year-old Ivan Noyala.
The funeral for the third victim 17-year-old Rafael Garcia is scheduled for next week. A fourth victim is still in the hospital.
Garland police took the unusual step of making public the name and photograph of the suspect who is just 14-years-old.
Police got a court order to authorize the release of Abel Acosta's name and likeness because investigators are very worried that he remains a threat to the public.
Monday, police arrested Acosta's father Richard Acosta who is charged with three counts of capital murder. He's accused of being the get-away driver of the pick-up seen on security video speeding away after the shooter got back in the truck.
