Residents across North Texas are assessing the damage after a powerful storm system unleashed baseball-sized hail across parts of the region late Sunday evening. The storm, which swept through Tarrant County and surrounding areas, left shattered windshields, dented vehicles, and battered rooftops in its wake.

Meteorologists had warned of severe weather conditions, but many were still caught off guard by the intensity of the hailstorm. Reports indicate that hailstones measuring up to three inches in diameter pounded neighborhoods, particularly in Fort Worth and Arlington, where residents shared images of the destruction.

Local emergency services responded to multiple calls regarding damaged homes and vehicles, though no serious injuries have been reported.

The National Weather Service confirmed that the storm system originated in Oklahoma, moving southward into Texas throughout the day. While the tornado threat remained low, the combination of high humidity and atmospheric instability fueled the development of large hail and damaging winds.

Authorities are urging residents to inspect their properties for damage and report any hazardous conditions. Insurance companies are expected to receive a surge in claims as homeowners and vehicle owners begin the recovery process.

With more unsettled weather forecasted in the coming days, meteorologists advise North Texans to stay alert for further storm activity.
