Severe thunderstorms move through North Texas Sunday evening

UPDATE 10:05 P.M: Tornado warning issued to include Waxahachie, Ennis and Ferries until 10:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.


UPDATE 9:50 P.M: The tornado warning for central Johnson County has expired. According to the National Weather service, the threat has significantly decreased.

UPDATE 9:45 P.M: Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Rockwall County, Hunt County, Northwestern Kaufman County, Southeastern Denton County, Southeastern Tarrant County, Collin County, Dallas County, Grayson County, Fannin County until 10:45 p.m. according to National Weather Service.

UPDATE 9:40 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning has been extended for Dallas, Arlington, and Plano until 10:45 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE: 9:30 P.M: A tornado warning has been issued for central Johnson County until 10:00 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 9:15 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect for Burleson, Waxahachie, and Cleburne until 10:15 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 9:05 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect for McKinney, Denton and Prosper until 9:45 p.m. according to the National Weather Service. This storm will contain wind gusts up to 70 MPH.

UPDATE 8:50 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect for Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington until 9:45 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 8:25 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning has been extended until 9:30 P.M for Stephenville, Grandbury, and Pecan Plantation according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 8:20 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning has been extended until 9 P.M for Weatherford, Azle, and Willow Park according to the National Weather Service. The storm could contain wind gusts up to 70 MPH.

UPDATE 8:10 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning has been extended until 9 P.M for Decatur, Bridgeport and Briar according to the National Weather Service. The storm could contain wind gusts up to 70 MPH.

UPDATE 8:00 P.M: As of now, Montague County, Wise County, Jack County, Parker County, Palo Pinto County, Western Cooke County, and Northern Hood County are all under a severe thunderstorm warning until 9:00 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 7:55 P.M: The National Weather Service's severe thunderstorm warning for Weatherford, Mineral Wells, and Azle has been extended to run until 9:00 p.m.

UPDATE 7:35 P.M: The National Weather Service is advising anyone in the vicinity of Possum Kingdom Lake to seek shelter immediately as winds of 60-70 miles per hour approach.

UPDATE 7:20 P.M: A severe thunderstorm warning has been put in place by the National Weather Service for Eastland, Cisco, Ranger, Mineral Wells, Breckenridge, and Graford until 8:00 p.m.

UPDATE 6:35 P.M: A line has started to develop to the west of DFW. These storms may become severe with an estimated arrival time in North Texas of between 9:00 p.m. and midnight from west to east. A tornado watch is also in effect across North Texas until 2:00 a.m.
