A Clay County sheriff's deputy who was shot during a traffic stop last night is back on the job today.
Sheriff Jeff Hyde says deputy Brent Chitwood was wearing a bulletproof vest and that saved his life.
In fact, after being shot at point-blank range, Chitwood spent less than an hour at the hospital before going home.
The shooter's get-away car has been found, but they remain at large.
