Six Flags Over Texas is announcing a new 309-foot roller coaster called Tormenta Rampaging Run, set to open in 2026 at the park in Arlington.

The ride will feature a 285-foot, 95-degree drop, reach speeds up to 87 miles per hour, and span more than 4,100 feet of track.

The park says the record-breaking coaster will debut as part of its 65th-anniversary celebration and will anchor a newly developed Spanish-themed section of the park.

That area will include a restaurant and immersive village-style entertainment meant to expand the park’s lineup of major attractions.

Tormenta Rampaging Run becomes the latest large-scale addition in a series of upgrades Six Flags has rolled out ahead of the busy 2026 travel season.

The project follows several years of investment aimed at drawing more regional tourism to Arlington’s entertainment district, which includes AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field.
