The deadly chain-reaction crash over the weekend on I-20 in Kaufman County has claimed another life.
Four people inside a Ford F-150 that was hit by a semi-truck had died and a fifth person was taken alive to the hospital.
On Monday, Texas DPS said the fifth person has also died.
A sixth person in another vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses described nothing but total devastation.
DPS says the driver of the semi-truck, identified as Osmani Alexis Gonzalez, fell asleep.
Several other vehicles were involved.
Traffic had been backed up in the area at the time of the crash.
