Denton County (1080 KRLD) - Two people are hospitalized after a small plane crashed in Denton County Friday.
According to the FAA, a single-engine Piper 28-40 Cherokee crashed into a tree after losing power at a private airfield in Justin at 11:30 on Friday morning.
Highway Patrol Troopers were dispatched to the scene near FM 407 and Bill Cook Road in Denton County and say the plane went down while the pilot was trying to land. The pilot and passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
The FAA will investigate.
