With memories fresh from last year's big freeze when the grid failed and ERCOT struggled, SMU energy expert Bruce Bullock believes things will probably hold together this summer.
But Bullock says we all need to be aware when ERCOT puts out a warning to cut back, we need to do just that.
In the long run, Bullock believes market-based incentives can address the grid's problems more rapidly and efficiently than many top-down, regulatory prescriptions he sees being proposed.
