Snow covers the ground in some parts of North Texas

It was nice while it lasted but just about all of yesterday's snow will be gone by oday, at least in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Snow began falling Sunday across a wide swath of North Texas but the bigger totals were to the west.

Dallas County received a dusting but no accumulation.

DFW Airport reports just a trace.

Parts of Tarrant County, like Arlington, saw a bit of accumulation on grassy areas and roofs. But it melted off by mid-afternoon.

Other parts of the county, like Crowley, saw up to three inches.

To the west and southwest it was a different story. In Erath County, Stephenville reports eight inches.

Granbury, in Hood County, had seven and Alvarado in Johnson County had nearly four inches of snow.

Despite occasional dustings in recent years, Dallas-Fort Worth has not seen major snow since 2015, when 3.5 inches was recorded at DFW Airport on March 4th and 5th.
