A South Oak Cliff killing has become the 200th murder of the year in Dallas.
Sunday evening, someone was gunned down near the Big T Plaza north of Ledbetter and just west of I-35.
Dallas police are giving very few details about the victim or the gunman.
At this rate, Dallas will surpass last year's homicide rate which was, in turn, up more than 27% from the year before.
And in another murder, one person died in a weekend shooting in Pleasant Grove.
Sunday morning, police were called to an address on Lake June Road near Jim Miller. They arrived and found a victim shot and already dead in a car parked outside a convenience store but the shooter was long gone.
Police have not said anything about why the victim was shot or who did it
