Spirit to cut routes at DFW Airport, nationwide

Spirit Airlines cutting routes around the country and several of them are in or out of DFW Airport. The airline announced it would drop 24 routes nationwide.

Spirit cut service from DFW to San Antonio on Tuesday and stopped service to Chicago on Wednesday. It won't fly from Charlotte to DFW anymore, either.

It will also cut flights from DFW to Houston and Tampa next month.

In September, Spirit ended flights from DFW to Kansas City, Memphis, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia
