The Dallas Stars delivered a third-period masterclass, scoring five unanswered goals to secure a 6-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final at American Airlines Center.

Trailing 3-1 heading into the final frame, the Stars capitalized on a power play, with Miro Heiskanen, Mikael Granlund, and Matt Duchene netting three goals in just over five minutes to flip the game on its head. Tyler Seguin added two goals, including a crucial third-period strike, while Esa Lindell sealed the win with an empty-netter.

The Oilers, led by Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, controlled the second period but were shut down late, failing to register a goal in the final 20 minutes. Jake Oettinger stood tall in net for Dallas, stopping 24 shots to help his team take a 1-0 series lead.

Game 2 is set for Friday night in Dallas, where the Stars will look to build on their momentum and push the Oilers further onto the defensive.
