After going missing for nearly a week, Elvis the Cat is back home in Hurst.

Last week, Elvis was reported stolen from a Hurst Petsmart adoption center. "Buddies Place Cat Rescue" immediately offered a $2,000 reward but nothing was heard for days.

On Tuesday, Buddies Place tweeted the good news that Elvis had been found.

A friend of Buddies Rescue found a cat that looked just like Elvis. She checked the information on his embedded microchip and confirmed it was Elvis who has now been returned to his foster home and is in good shape.

Hurst police say they have video showing the thieves but they have not yet been caught.
