The Lake Highlands High School student fatally shot Tuesday evening has now been identified.
Officials say Lake Highlands Junior Dadrien Harrison was shot at an apartment complex less than a mile from campus and died at the hospital. The gunman is still on the run.
On Wednesday, students were required to pass through a metal detector before entering the school building and officials that metal detector will remain in place at least through Friday.
