A new study suggests that about five percent of Tarrant and Dallas county residents have been exposed to the Coronavirus, about half the estimated national average.
That works out to about 240,000 people in the two counties. That does not mean 240,000 people have tested positive, though.
Tarrant and Dallas counties together have reported about 160,000 cases, so far.
The numbers are part of early results from an on-going study conducted by Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
The researchers are hoping to recruit another 44,000 participants.
