DESOTO (1080 KRLD)- DeSoto Police have arrested a 17-year-old they say was responsible for a fatal crash earlier this month. The wreck killed 42-year-old Hanan Ali-Lacy, who was an employee of the Dallas ISD.

Police say 17-year-old NorKendric Jackson was driving 90 miles per hour on Pleasant Run Road on June 6th. He collided with another vehicle at Ray Andra Drive. The speed limit on that street is 40 miles per hour. Police say Jackson was recklessly at fault for the crash.

He's been charged with manslaughter, a second-degree felony.

Hana Ali-Lacy was the Assistant Director of School Operations for Education for the Dallas ISD. She worked to mentor students and prepare them for life after high school graduation.

Students and teachers held a memorial in her honor at Kimball High School in Dallas.
