A suspected burglar was hospitalized with a gunshot wound after a homeowner opened fire during an attempted break-in at a Fort Worth residence, police say.
Officers responded to a call mid-afternoon at a home on Grayson Street near Lake Arlington and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with injuries investigators described as non-life-threatening.
According to police, the homeowner reported firing a weapon when the man tried to break into the house. Authorities have not released the names of those involved.
Police said the incident remains under investigation. No charges have been announced.
