A suspected drunk driver is accused of causing a massive crash in Haltom City.
Haltom City Police say 18-year-old Tanner Dodson was driving drunk when he hit two vehicles in separate hit-and-run crashes.
When officers found Dodson at a restaurant and approached him, he sped off on Denton Highway. Detective Matthew Spillane says a brief chase ensued, and it ended at the intersection of Denton Highway and Webster Street.
The driver Dodson hit had to be extricated and is hospitalized in serious condition. Dodson also suffered significant injuries; and once he's released from the hospital, he will be facing a slew of charges.
